Killer Clichés to Eliminate from Your Advertising Copy
Below is a list of clichés that we should be careful not to use on a regular basis. Keep in mind that many ads have clichés in them. This doesn’t mean that the ad is completely ineffective, only that we can probably find different words that would have a greater impact.
For example, “guaranteed best price”. Saying that you have a guarantee on its own is a cliché. However, if you explain the “or what”, then it has substance. “Guaranteed best price or we will give you the difference back in cash”.
